The court finds that it has international jurisdiction to decide the case. This was decided on Wednesday.

A group of Dutch citizens has summoned various officials. In addition to politicians such as Mark Rutte and Hugo de Jonge, members of the former OMT advisory body, and also Bill Gates. The complaint comes from COVID-19 skeptics. The officials and Gates are accused of causing harm to people through the vaccinations.
They are demanding compensation because they allegedly acted illegally. According to the plaintiffs, the defendants deliberately misled them into taking the vaccinations, even though they knew or should have known that the vaccines were not safe and effective. Furthermore, the case allegedly did not concern the fight against a pandemic.
The names of the plaintiffs are unknown
The case has been referred to Leeuwarden, where the North Holland District Court is located, because one of the defendants lives in Friesland. The names of the plaintiffs are not known.
Gates had filed a so-called incident case with the court. In doing so, he asked the court to declare itself incompetent to rule on the charges.
The court has now rejected this. "There is such a strong connection between the claim and the claims against the other defendants that it is efficient to hear them together. The District Court of North Holland, Leeuwarden, has jurisdiction because one of these other defendants lives in Friesland," the court ruled.
Will Gates come to the North now?
The court can therefore order Gates to pay the alleged damages. It is still unclear how the case will proceed, and it is still unknown whether Bill Gates, or a lawyer on his behalf, will actually appear before the northern court.
The court can do two things: either dismiss the claim from the anti-vaccination group or uphold the claim in whole or in part. The court's decision to continue the case has already resulted in the super-rich Gates having to pay 1,406 euros in legal costs. These must be transferred within fourteen days.
